Is it the wall of a Venetian palazzo, slowly being destroyed by salt water?
Is it a satellite photo of the Sahara desert?
Is it a crumbling Italian fresco in a remote Tuscan church? You'd be wrong if you guessed any of these! It's actually a decaying cement base for a light at a shopping mall in New England. I was leaving my parking spot and stopped dead in my tracks at how beautiful it was, with its thick layers of paint all crumbling away, and the low winter sun shining upon it. So you see, you really can find beauty anywhere. You just have to look a little harder sometimes.
