Paper tiger

Chinese artist Xu Bing made this huuuuge tiger skin rug made of a half a million cigarettes, standing on end. The white parts of the pelt are the tobacco ends of the ciggs, and the orangy parts are the filter end. It's a huge installation, and it's kinda crazy to think about all the work, and cigarettes, it took to construct this enormous piece of art. It's currently on exhibit at Mass MoCa out in western Massachusetts. Read more about the artist and other works here.

This really shows the scale of the tiger pelt.
