A panoply of green wonderment

Got snow?! Yup, there's a lot of white stuff out there after our New England blizzard—about three feet of it. It's beautiful, always makes me feel like a kid, and I'm excited for the next snow storm. But that mean I'm not daydreaming of the panoply of green wonderment that will emerge from beneath the snow in just a few months. Now is the perfect season to peruse through garden mags, books catalogs, and even on Pinterest for some green inspiration. There's only 49 days until spring, so hang tough. And don't forget to get outside and enjoy the winter, too. There's a lot of magic and beauty out there, you just have to look for it.

Happy New Year!

I just discovered this artist who has created an entire exquisite little mouse world made of felted wool! For 20 years Maggie Rudy has been handcrafting these charming mice, with their adorable clothes and accessories, in their ridiculously adorable little miniature homes. Please visit her Mousehouses blog to see more of her fine work.
