HEY! Who is that messing with my pumpkin?
Looks like Miss Squirrel found a nice snack of pumpkin seeds!
Okay, I slacked and never put my fall pumpkin on the compost heap until this squirrel made a mess of it. It's such a pretty thing, a pumpkin, and is that not the most perfect stem, all twisted and gnarly? At one point this squirrel was literally inside the pumpkin with just her head peeking out. Rascal. She's pretty plump so I don't think she's starving, though she could have some babies in the oven—it's that season for squirrels. Stay tuned.
