That's not a colorful collection of frosty sea glass, gathered by the edge of the sea on hot summer day... it's actually edible sea glass candy that I made... in shades of turquoise, blue and green. Essentially it's sugar and water that's been boiled, colored, then flavored with mint. The dull opaque effect is from a coating of powdered sugar, but you could also leave the "glass" shiny.
